Lovely Soviet propaganda posters.

I love these. The design of the creatures (I'm guessing that some are from 'true' UFO stories- the last goblin looking creature looks like the one described in the Betty and Barney Hill abduction story) and the page design.

The King

Jack Kirby didn't just draw comics. Jack Kirby is comics.

New Gods #7

Sienkiewicz

Comic book artist Bill Sienkiewicz always impressed me. And disturbed me. His scratchy style ( here in an obvious Klimt homage), kind of freaked me out, as a kid. This is a wonderful 9 panel grid splash page. Comic book conventions adhered to and broken apart in one go. Stray Toasters, from which this is taken, is fairly nightmarish. Yet all of his work, some for mainstream comics, seemed to attempt to elevate the medium.

Tarkovsky's Solaris

Tarkovsky's Solaris (1972) is a beautiful piece of work.  I really don't need to say how good this, or any of his films are.

But a friend of mine is a huge Tarkovsky fan, so I created this poster for him.

Run Wrake - Rabbit

Lovely (?) animation using children's book illustration in wonderful new ways.

1932, Frankenstein, West Virginia

Lovely picture from 1932, showing nurses and an ambulance, waiting outside a cinema showing 'Frankenstein', in West Virginia.

Nick Cross - Black Sunrise

Trailer for the upcoming film by Nick Cross.

Watch 'The Pig Farmer'. It's clever AND funny.
(Well, if you think Manson references in a cartoon are funny).

K Craig - Technology Project

Two images from a recent project to illustrate on the theme of TECHNOLOGY. All of the images used came from Public Domain sites, usable under the Creative Commons Licence. The halo on the second illustration is a representation of human DNA.

Julie Driscoll

Wonderfully psychedelic video, for Julie Driscoll's cover of "Season Of The Witch". The set is pretty 'far-out'.
